Dough

“Dough”

  1. She kneaded the dough.
  2. The dough was ready to bake.
  3. He needed more dough.

When I was learning to bake bread, I had to learn how to work with dough - mixing flour and water, kneading it until it was smooth, and letting it rise. Working with dough takes practice, but there’s something satisfying about turning simple ingredients into bread. The word “dough” is also slang for money, probably because both are something you need to “work” with.
