Disaffected

Disaffected 是一个形容词。形容那些曾经支持某个组织但现在由于失望而产生抵触情绪的人。

  1. The party is struggling to win back disaffected voters. (该党正努力赢回那些不满的选民。)
  2. Disaffected youth often turn to alternative lifestyles as a form of protest. (不满现状的年轻人经常转向非主流生活方式作为一种抗议。)
  3. The general led a group of disaffected soldiers in a rebellion. (将军率领一群不满的士兵发动了叛乱。)
  • 前缀dis- (相反/离开)
  • 词根-affect- (情感/喜爱)
  • 含义:不再有喜爱的感情 -> 疏远的/不满的。

记:dis- (不) + affected (受影响/有感情)。不再被(组织的)感情所打动,就是 disaffected (不满/反叛)。

After the factory closed, many disaffected workers joined the local protest movement. (工厂关闭后,许多不满的工人加入了当地的抗议运动。)
