Blandishment

Blandishment 通常以复数形式出现。它指的是为了达到目的而说的那些讨好、赞美或诱惑人的话。

  1. Despite his blandishments, she refused to lend him any more money. (尽管他甜言蜜语,她还是拒绝再借钱给他。)
  2. He was immune to the blandishments of fame and fortune. (他对名利的诱惑无动于衷。)
